Tips for Being Green
 
Being Green involves the Rs: Reduce - Reuse - Recycle - Rebuy. Listed below are tips to reduce your carbon emissions. 
1.  Leave grass clippings on the lawn.
2.  Compost food scraps, leaves, and other oganic materials. 
3.  On hot days, water your lawn early in the morning or evening.
4.  Click here to remove your name from Direct Mail marketers' lists for five years.
5. use cloth napkins instead of paper.
6. Use sponges instead of paper towels.
7. Store food in reusable containers
8. Replace incandescent lights with energy-saving fluorescent bulbs.
9. Buy Energy efficient appliances.
10. Turn off lights and your TV when not in use.
11. Clean the dryer's lint trap after every load.
12. Turn off the faucet when brushing your teeth.
13. Reuse plastic sandwich bags and aluminum foil.
14. Keep your car tuned up and tires properly inflated.
15. Ride the bus, ride a bike, or walk.
16. Take short showers.
17. Go to the library to read books, magazines and newspapers rather than buying them.
18. Buy a hybrid vehicle. 
19. Use a reusable lunch box or bag when packing lunches.
20. Recycle at home, at work, and out and about!
